The high of being published

Okay so it's not the whole book, it's a short story but now I can finally say I am published and mean recently instead of way back when I was nine years old and had a Japanese Haiku published in the Cadbury's Children's Book of Poetry - the last time I had the buzz of seeing my name printed in a book!

It has been 30 years between each instance of my work being published and I sincerely hope it won't be another 30 years until the next one!

I am so hungry for more of this feeling! It has made me wake up and realise I need to dedicate more time to my writing. I keep thinking that I will write regularly when I reach retirement - but that's ages away! I need to get my thoughts on to paper (screen) and stop procrastinating.

The Rabbit Hole Volume Four is the confidence boost I needed to motivate me to submit more of my work. No doubt I will receive rejections, but The Rabbit Hole team loved my work so here's to the future! Let's stop fearing rejection, let's start attracting acceptance!
