Wednesday Writing Prompt

This week's writing prompt is 'Mystery'.

I have spent hours and hours over the last few days, searching for a self catering cottage in the UK. It has inspired me to use this for the writing prompt this week.

Write a short piece of fiction featuring a holiday cottage. The theme is mystery, so perhaps something is discovered at the cottage - an old letter? A photograph? A hidden box? Something in the garden that the dog digs up? Has it been there for years or left by the previous guests?
